Key Job Competencies
Lead the sales team
* Ensure all members of the Sales team understand the implications of The Toyota Way for their role and monitor their performance against customer service targets (e.g., CRS and Google Reviews)
* Lead the Sales team by demonstrating and encouraging skills and behaviours associated with Steven Eagell Group & The Toyota Way
* Ensure Sales team are focused on delivering Complete Customer Satisfaction at all times
Manage performance to achieve targets and improve
* Monitor individual and team performance against sales targets, review progress, and develop action plans
* Motivate the Sales team to ensure key activities are delivered to plan
* Manage the Sales Administration team to ensure processes and documentation meet standards and deadlines
* Review and improve sales processes to increase customer satisfaction and profitability
* Work with colleagues to resolve customer complaints
Manage and develop individuals
* Monitor training needs and ensure development plans are in place
* Address performance issues through coaching
* Assess potential recruits
Provide advice and sign-off on key issues
* Decide on display layout and vehicle mix for new/used cars
* Work with Parts/Aftersales Manager on accessory displays
* Approve part exchanges and used car purchases
* Manage vehicle standards for sale or display
* Negotiate with suppliers for best terms
* Control used car stock value and mix
Work as a full member of the dealership team
* Collaborate across teams to provide seamless customer service
* Follow up on sales opportunities
* Participate in management to advance the business
* Manage own customer base and cover for Sales Executives as needed
