Job Description
The Role
We are seeking a Lead MEP Planner to support the successful delivery of mechanical and electrical building services projects. This position would suit an experienced Senior MEP Planner looking to step up or a Lead Planning Manager looking for a change. The role will be hands on initially before the opportunity to build and manage a team down the line.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce and maintain integrated project programmes covering design, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover.
* Monitor site progress, update schedules and highlight risks to key milestones.
* Undertake critical path reviews and provide clear guidance to delivery teams on sequencing and mitigation strategies.
* Support pre-construction activities including tender programmes and methodology input.
* Ensure programmes align with contractual obligations and reporting requirements.
* Prepare clear and accurate progress reports for internal and client stakeholders.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers and supply chain partners to ensure realistic and achievable schedules.
About You
* Background in Mechanical & Electrical / Building Services projects.
* Experience using Asta Powerproject.
* Understanding of construction sequencing and commissioning processes within MEP environments.
* Exposure to programme updates, short-term planning or tender planning.
* Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with site teams and clients.
* Relevant qualification in Building Services, Construction Management or similar (HNC/HND/Degree desirable but not essential).
