About the Role
We are seeking a flexible and experienced School Administrative Assistant to join our friendly team on a temporary basis. This role is vital to the smooth day-to-day running of our primary school, providing essential support to staff, pupils, parents, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
* Welcoming parents, pupils, and visitors to the school in a professional and friendly manner.
* Managing telephone and email enquiries, ensuring prompt and accurate communication.
* Providing administrative support including filing, data entry, record keeping, and word processing.
* Supporting attendance monitoring, admissions, and pupil records management.
* Using school-based systems (such as SIMS) to update and maintain accurate information.
* Assisting with the organisation of school events and communications.
* Working closely with the senior leadership team, teachers, and support staff to ensure efficient school operations.
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience in a school office/administrative environment.
* Strong IT skills with experience of school MIS systems (e.g. SIMS).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A flexible, organised, and proactive approach.
Desirable
* First Aid training.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and GDPR requirements in schools.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
