Main Purpose of the Job
To be part of a skilled team that ensures the best outcomes for disabled children and young people. You will encourage the children to have fun, learn, grow and develop in a safe environment. Key duties and responsibilities are outlined in the role profile.
This is a public/customer‑facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies. The position will be subject to an enhanced criminal record disclosure check. The roles are based in Par and Redruth.
Working Pattern
Part‑time and full‑time hours are available. Flexible working options, such as part‑time or compressed hours, can be discussed.
What You'll Need To Succeed
Enthusiasm for making positive changes in the lives of disabled children. Child‑centred, able to use your own initiative, and work as part of a team. Excellent communication and partnership working skills when working with parents and other professionals. Willing to work towards, or have, a Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care (funded by the Council).
Benefits
Salary range: £26,597 – £39,159, depending on qualifications and experience. A generous relocation package is available for eligible candidates. New employees receive a recruitment and retention bonus: £1,000 at the start of the role and an additional £1,000 after completing the first year.
