Management Accountant
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join a growing, technology-led business operating within the insurance sector. This is a highly visible role within a collaborative FP&A team, offering significant autonomy, exposure to senior leadership, and the chance to make a genuine impact in a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the end-to-end management accounts process while also supporting the ongoing development of reporting, controls, and financial insight across the business.
The Management Accountant Role
Key responsibilities will include:
* Full ownership of the monthly management accounts process across multiple group entities
* Preparation and review of consolidated management accounts
* Completion of balance sheet reconciliations and month-end reporting activities
* Production of Board and Executive reporting packs
* Delivering insightful reporting across areas including sales activity, customers and R&D
* Supporting the development of departmental and product-level P&L reporting
* Assisting with forecasting and budgeting processes alongside the wider FP&A team
* Driving continuous improvement across reporting, controls, automation and processes
* Leveraging financial systems and data to improve efficiency and insight
* Line management, coaching, and development of one team member
The Management Accountant skillset
The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with strong management accounting experience and the ability to operate confidently within a dynamic commercial environment.
You will also possess:
* Proven experience producing accurate and timely financial information
* Strong technical accounting knowledge
* Advanced Excel skills
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* A proactive and improvement-focused mindset
* Previous experience within a SaaS or technology-led business would be advantageous
* Exposure to systems such as SAP, Jira, or Salesforce would be beneficial
* Prior people management experience, or clear readiness to step into a leadership role
