Ocean Infinity is seeking a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis. The Head of FP&A will lead the modernisation of Ocean Infinity’s financial planning and analysis function - introducing new tools, models, and processes that change how the business understands its performance. This includes redesigning the budgeting and forecasting framework, building a five-year financial model, improving project-level P&Ls, and embedding automation and data-driven decision-making throughout the organisation. This role is central to shaping a finance team that goes beyond reporting results to interpreting them — providing clarity, foresight, and challenge to the Executive and Operations teams. What you will do: Strategy, Planning & Forecasting Lead the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring transparency and discipline. Design and implement a robust five-year financial model to support long-term planning and investment. Embed driver-based forecasting and scenario modelling. Deliver clear, timely insights linking financial outcomes to operational performance. Project & Operational Performance Redefine how project P&Ls are analysed, standardising margin tracking and integrating financial and operational data. Work closely with business leaders to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the portfolio. Develop tools and dashboards to track project profitability and operating costs in real time. Automation, Systems & Data Implement automation, analytics, and modern FP&A systems to streamline reporting and improve decision speed. Collaborate with Finance Systems and IT to ensure full integration with NetSuite and reporting platforms. Uphold data integrity and consistency, maintaining one version of the truth across the business. Leadership & Team Development Build and lead a high-performing FP&A team known for accuracy, clarity, and insight. Set clear performance standards and promote strong business partnering with operations. Develop capability in analytics, financial modelling, and storytelling. Business Partnering & Influence Deliver insightful monthly reviews and board materials with clear, actionable commentary. Provide constructive challenge and guidance to senior and operational leaders. Communicate complex analysis in a straightforward, persuasive way that informs key decisions. Who you are: Experienced FP&A leader within complex, multi-entity, project-based organisations (marine, engineering, tech, or industrial sectors an advantage). ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualified, with 5–10 years in finance or FP&A. Strong understanding of US GAAP/IFRS, consolidations, intercompany accounting, and transfer pricing. Deep knowledge of project accounting, utilisation, and margin analysis; confident challenging assumptions. Passionate about modernising FP&A through driver-based budgets, rolling forecasts, and automation. Advanced Excel modeller; experienced with planning and BI tools (e.g. Anaplan, Adaptive, Power BI, Tableau) integrated with ERP systems such as NetSuite. A commercial communicator who turns data into clear, decision-ready insight. Methodical and detail-driven, maintaining accuracy and a single version of the truth. Comfortable operating across international environments and adapting to change. Curious, proactive, and motivated to build a finance function that drives performance, not just reporting.
