To strengthen our Supply Chain Management team, we are looking for experienced candidates for the position Senior Operational Buyer for Global Sourcing. The position will be responsible for the negotiation and issuance of global purchase orders and contracts.
Your Day to Day:
1. Purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets
2. Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations
3. Requests for quotations through RFQ/RFP and other methods, negotiating pricing, delivery, and Terms &Conditions aligned to our standards for materials, equipment, components, and services for assigned commodities
4. Manage the procure to pay process from engagement through to Purchase Order issuance and ensuring payment
5. Process Purchase Requisitions and create Purchase Orders
6. Proactively monitor confirmations of Purchase Orders from the suppliers
7. Proactively manage On Time Deliveries (and associated risks) in due coordination with suppliers and internal clients/requisitioners (plants, projects)
8. Resolve issues related to Purchase Orders and Invoices in due coordination with Accounts Payable
9. Manage the creation of new vendors in the Approved Supplier List in due coordination with Commercial pillar to ensure compliance with sourcing strategies
10. Explore alternate sources for goods and materials, plan and share with Buyers
11. Closely collaborate with your internal customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
12. Drive cost savings and reductions
13. Conduct risk analysis of selected suppliers considering material cost trends and capacity constraints
14. Facilitate contract change activities (including change requests, amendments, orders, renewals, termination notices)
15. Negotiating resolution of scope or cost increases, net terms, supplier claims and disputes
16. Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and ensure good communications
17. Execute implementation of our supply chain strategies
18. Supervise, train and mentor junior supply chain professionals (Buyers)
19. Attend meetings and update others on issues or concerns, in particular when there is a risk which could prevent the organization meeting customer demands or where there are over capacity concerns
20. Coordinate daily work with accordance to volume and plant’s requirements
21. Actively contribute to process & systems improvements identification and implementation
22. Support and promote a culture where a high quality of work is the norm
Who You Are:
23. BA in Supply Chain, Business or similar
24. Track record: minimum 3 years of experience in corporate environment, ideally in operational areas (supply chain, nuclear or highly technical areas)
25. Fluency (written and spoken) in English
26. Very good communication & negotiation skills
27. Highly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
28. Proficient use of SAP or equivalent ERP system is required
29. Data Analytical and reporting skills with an eye for details
30. Ability to multitask, work under pressure and proactively identify and solve issues
31. Knowledge of Procurement end-to-end processes, such as P2P (Procure to Pay), Record to Report, Order to Cash, Make to Order/ Manufacture
32. Experience in making decisions required to deliver expected services with quality and on time.
33. Experience in setting priorities, informing on risks and when appropriate making decisions
34. Excellent communication, teamwork, solution orientation, and collaboration skills
35. Proficient in Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint is desirable
36. Knowledge of manufacturing, assembly or distribution of equipment and associated suppliers is desirable..
