We are looking for a Pick/Packer Operative to join PAragons' Sheffield Site.
As the Pick/Pack Operative, you will assist the Warehouse Team Manager in providing an efficient stock management system by ensuring the storing and dispatching of materials, goods, and products meet customer demands.
To be responsible for accurately picking customers' orders from around the warehouse and ensuring that all products are packaged according to company standard.
Hours: Monday to Friday 11am - 7:30pm
Your main duties would include:
* Accurately pick items from throughout the warehouse based on customers order requirements
* Package and prepare customer orders for shipment and despatch using the computerised stock system to ensure stock records are accurate
* Accurately pick and deliver goods to production areas around the business as required and update the computerised stock system to ensure stock records are accurate
* Replenish the warehouse pick face and update the stock system accordingly
* Complete end of day manifests where required
* Perform warehouse inventory checks as and when required
* Remove waste from the warehouse ensuring waste goes into the correct waste stream.
* Maintain housekeeping to a high standard to ensure a clean safe working area
* Carry out tasks in accordance with warehouse standard operating procedures
* Comply with legislation, codes of practice and safe system of work instructions.
* Report all hazards, incidents & or near misses which result in, or could lead to, injury or damage
Skills and Attributes we are looking for
* Previous experience within a Warehouse / Production Environment
* Previous experience working as part of a team and on your own initiative
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Problem solving skills with the ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
* Demonstrated commitment and enthusiasm
* Good attention to detail
* Good understanding of Warehouse O.T.I.F requirements
* Must be flexible with the ability to multi-task
