Theme: Fundraising Job Title: Fundraising and Partnerships Manager Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 (Grade 3) – Depending on experience. Hours of work: 35 hours per week to include occasional weekend and evening working as required. Benefits: 31 days annual leave (pro rata), flexible working, fantastic team environment, excellent location (10minutes from the Glamorgan Heritage Coast, near to the Gower and Bannau Brycheiniog (formerly Brecon Beacons), commutable from the cities of Cardiff or Swansea) Contract: Ongoing, subject to continued funding Location: Bridgend, South Wales Line Manager: CEO Direct Reports: CEO Purpose of the role: To develop and implement the Project Seagrass fundraising strategy, and ensure compliance with fundraising regulations. Fundraising through various means, including securing individual and corporate donations, organizing events, and managing fundraising campaigns. Building and maintaining relationships with donors and stakeholders. Facilitating the development, support and championing of new and existing fundraising initiatives to maximise income generation across multiple income streams Cultivating strong and positive relationships with donors and supporters from a broad spectrum of organisations Promoting our charitable aims, inclusive culture and Project Seagrass brand. Key duties & responsibilities: Develop and deliver project seagrass fundraising strategy to grow income from multiple streams whilst protecting the values and reputation of the charity Work closely with colleagues to develop cases for core funding and new projects Research, collate and analyse data that allows for the identification of income streams (e.g. government and other grants, corporate and individual donors, corporate sponsors, community engagement and events) Identify and coordinate bids to appropriate grant awarding bodies and organisations Prepare reports in line with funder requirements Develop and nurture new and existing relationships with funders, donors and supporters In collaboration with the Finance Manager, contribute to accurate record keeping of all charitable donations received Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the work of Project Seagrass in order that key messages to funders, donors and supporters are accurate and consistent Work closely and collaboratively with the Communications & Engagement teams to prepare press releases, project sheets and other fundraising materials Ensure fundraising activities are carried out in accordance with current good practice, regulatory guidance and legislation (e.g. Fundraising Regulator, Charity Commission, GDPR) Keep up to date with developments and best practice within the fundraising and charity sectors Actively seek and solicit donations from grant giving bodies, corporations, foundations, and trusts General duties & responsibilities: Participate in and support internal and external organisational events Promote equality and diversity in working practices and maintain positive working relationships Manage Project Seagrass content across the suite of fundraising platforms Ensure all fundraising activities adhere to relevant laws and regulations Skills and Experience: Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for building relationships and conveying the organization's mission. Sales and Persuasion: Ability to effectively persuade potential donors to contribute. Event Management: Experience in planning and organizing fundraising events. Grant Writing/facilitation: Skills in writing compelling grant proposals and/or capability to Data Management: Ability to track and manage donor information. Relationship Building: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with donors and stakeholders. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising campaigns. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Knowledge: of the law and regulations pertaining to fundraising, familiar with the Code of Fundraising Practice Ability to manage a varied portfolio with multiple funding and reporting deadlines Excellent communication skills Capable of performance reporting, setting benchmarks, measure against KPIs and providing recommendations for improvement Able to work under pressure, prioritise tasks and meet key deadlines. Personal Profile: An experienced Fundraiser, with a demonstrable track record of raising income from a variety of sources Demonstrable ability to build new relationships, nurture existing relationships and positively influence, engage and inspire decision makers A desire to make a positive difference Well organised with a structured but flexible approach. Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data Self-motivated, able to apply and use initiative and seek guidance when needed. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrable pride in delivering professional services and solutions Able to work as part of a team in an environment of equality, trust and respect to deliver projects that strive to meet the charity's objectives Full clean UK driving licence
