Position Details
* 4 permanent posts
* 37 hours per week
* Shift pattern: 24/7 days and nights (12‑hour rotational shifts available Monday to Sunday)
* Live NMC UK pin required to be considered
About the Unit
The Intensive Care Unit/High Dependency units care for patients whose conditions range from single to multi‑organ failure, requiring ventilatory support (invasive or non‑invasive), cardiovascular and renal support. The unit is a tertiary referral centre for vascular, ENT and renal services.
Responsibilities
* Deliver patient‑centred care to a high standard in a critical care environment.
* Participate in the Competency‑Based Preceptorship Programme and complete the Critical Care Course accredited by Glasgow Caledonian University.
* Maintain current NMC registration and evidence of professional development.
* Utilise basic IT skills and maintain good communication with multidisciplinary teams.
Training & Development
Successful candidates will undertake a competency‑based preceptorship programme and, upon completion, enrol in the Critical Care Course accredited by Glasgow Caledonian University.
