Job Description
3. Design and maintain processes to ensure timely and accurate statutory reporting
4. Oversee end-to-end payroll tax operations
5. Provide expert guidance on tax-related matters
6. Ensure payroll processes and controls align with SAO requirements and SOX compliance standards.
7. Primary point of contact with HMRC
8. Lead payroll optimisation initiatives
9. Manage, develop, and support the payroll team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring high performance and accuracy.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Payroll Manager should have:
10. Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a payroll team within a complex, fast-paced environment.
11. Full UK driving licence with the ability to work on-site across multiple locations
12. Strong knowledge of payroll and HR legislation, with the ability to ensure compliance and apply best practice across all processes.
13. Proficiency with a range of payroll software platforms, with experience in Dayforce considered a strong advantage.
14. Proven capability to make effective, timely decisions in complex payroll scenarios, supported by strong problem-solving skills.
15. Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse data, troubleshoot issues, and deliver accurate solutions.
16. A proactive mindset with a track record of driving process improvements and efficiencies.
