Second Step is working in partnership with SafeLink. We are looking for a male ISVA to be seconded to work within the SafeLink Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVA) team.
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 18.5 per week (preferably Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings)
Salary: £30,518 to £32,061 (pro-rata per annum)
Location: Offices are located in Bristol but there will be some home working. There is a requirement to travel across Avon and Somerset area so driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential

Safe Link provides an independent victim-focused service. Safe Link offers both emotional and practical support to victims of rape and sexual assault. Our ethos is to support victims to cope and recover which can include reporting to the police if they wish. We work closely with the Bridge (SARC), Safeguarding partners and the Criminal Justice System (including Crown Court).
The ISVA will work closely with the police, Lighthouse and the SARC and will cover the whole of the Avon and Somerset force area. He will have a good understanding of the traumatic impact of sexual assault and rape. He will need to have some knowledge around the criminal justice process and will have a commitment to providing a high quality, victim-focussed and inclusive service.
The successful applicant will have:
* Experience of working in a support setting.
* Experience of risk assessing, safety planning and support planning.
* Knowledge around sexual assault and its impact on victims.
* Experience of multi-agency working.
* A commitment to the victim’s code of practice.
* A full driving licence and access to transport.
