Overview
Senior HR Advisor role at dror barda architects. This is an on-site opportunity for an experienced HR professional within an industrial SME. The role is newly created, reports to the Financial Controller, and covers two sites: Ripley, Derbyshire and Coalville, Leicestershire. This position offers a great opportunity to grow as the business expands.
Location and type
Site locations: Ripley, Derbyshire and Coalville, Leicestershire. Primary location: Bardon-on-the-Hill, Leicestershire. Employment type: On-site.
Key Responsibilities
* Covering and establishing a new HR department across both sites of the business
* Employee relations: provide HR advice on a wide range of generalist issues
* Represent the company’s policies, procedures and goals, instilling these values in employees, while ensuring policies are fair to employees
* Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new employees
* Ensure employees have correct pay and benefits
* Absence management upskilling and supporting managers to deal with short- and long-term absence cases
* Employee engagement: implement best-in-class strategies and initiatives to optimise engagement and retention
* Training and development: assist managers in implementing training plans and career pathways
* Administration: keep systems updated and ensure relevant reports are actioned
* Develop, implement and maintain HR software to improve staff engagement and enable efficient payroll reporting
* Ensure company employment policies follow national laws and regulations and keep policies up to date
* Develop and implement policies on working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management
* Deal with grievances and implement disciplinary procedures
Person Specification
* You must have at least 4 years of HR experience
* Attention to detail
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal
* Hands-on with a can-do attitude
* Previous standalone experience would be an advantage
* Identifying and resolving HR issues effectively and efficiently
* A thorough understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
* A strong understanding of relevant employment legislation and regulations
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 (depending on experience). This role offers opportunities to progress within the business.
