Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen within trauma Orthopaedics ward D4 for a Band 5 Staff Nurse.
D4 ward is a 30/33 bed Trauma Orthopaedic ward. We care for patient with a range of different Orthopaedic conditions and injuries. We have a strong focus on multidisciplinary team working, which helps to ensures a complete approach to patient centred care. We are looking for applicants who have a passion to embrace new and innovative ways of managing change and believe that the patient experience is central to care delivered.
There are good opportunities for your continuing professional development within Hampshire Hospitals, and this will be supported and encouraged by the Clinical Matron and Senior Ward Sister's.

Experience & Knowledge
Essential criteria
1. Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD) clearly recorded for professional profile
2. Adherence to current statutory requirements, standards and regulations
3. Completed clinical placements in a variety of areas
Desirable criteria
4. Awareness of local and national agenda within the speciality
5. Experience of staff supervision
Training & Qualifications
Essential criteria
6. Degree level education or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through any combination of alternative study, or employment experience
7. Professional UK registration e.g. NMC, HPC
8. Computer Literate
Skills & Ability
Essential criteria
9. Ability to demonstrate the required behaviour in keeping with the Trust values
10. Ability to communicate written and verbal information in English, keeping legible and accurate notes
11. Able to present information, written and orally in a clear and logical manner
12. Understands the legal responsibilities of the profession
13. Understanding of Clinical Governance and the implications for clinical services including experience of quality issues and audit.
Desirable criteria
14. Customer service experience i.e. dealing with complaints
