Here at Birmingham Community Leisure Trust, our goal is to get more people, more active, more often. We provide affordable access to a wide range of sports and leisure facilities to support healthier and happier people across all segments of the local community. To deliver those services, we are looking to recruit a Facilities Assistant to join the centre.
In this role, you will assist the Duty Manager with setting up and setting down centre activities, provide quality customer service, promote products and services, and ensure the smooth operation of activities inside and outside the centre grounds.
Your responsibilities include:
* Dealing with general enquiries and promoting good customer relations.
* Restocking vending machines and maintaining cleanliness standards.
* Assisting in marketing efforts by displaying promotional materials effectively.
* Following all Health and Safety procedures.
* Maintaining full product knowledge and advising customers.
* Adopting a proactive approach to service improvement.
* Supervising customers to ensure proper use of facilities.
* Applying good housekeeping principles to reduce utility consumption and carbon footprint.
* Monitoring facilities and reporting defects.
* Following SSOW, manual handling, and risk assessments for setup tasks.
* Performing other duties as assigned by the Duty Manager.
