Job Title: Fire and Security Estimator
Location: Stirling (covering Central Belt)
Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent
Sector: Fire & Security Systems – Commercial and Public Sector

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Fire and Security Estimator to join our Clients team, based in Stirling and covering projects across the Central Belt. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV, access control, and integrated security systems. Projects will span across commercial clients and local authorities, including schools, offices, housing associations, and other public sector buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed and accurate quotations and cost estimates for fire and security installations and maintenance contracts.

*

Attend site visits and client meetings to assess scope and requirements.

*

Interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documents.

*

Work closely with the sales and design teams to ensure proposals meet client needs and compliance standards.

*

Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and technical input.

*

Produce method statements and technical submissions where required.

*

Assist with the preparation of tender submissions and bid documents.

*

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, products, and standards (e.g., BS5839, BSEN50131).

*

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and local authorities.

Requirements:

*

Proven experience in estimating within the fire and security industry.

*

Strong technical knowledge of fire alarms, intruder systems, access control, and CCTV.

*

Experience working on commercial and public sector contracts is highly desirable.

*

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

*

Familiarity with tender processes and bid preparation is advantageous.

*

Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills.

*

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Central Belt.

Desirable:

*

Background in sales or business development within the fire and security sector.

*

Experience with estimating software and CRM tools.

*

Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., FIA, NSI, or equivalent certifications).
