We’re supporting a major long-term Ministry of Defence programme looking for an experienced SC Cleared Backend Heavy Developer to join a high-performing digital engineering team.
This role is ideal for someone with strong Node.js backend engineering experience, alongside frontend capability with either React or Angular.
You’ll be working within a modern cloud-native environment focused on scalable services, API development, and secure enterprise applications.
🛠 Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
• Contribute to frontend development using React or Angular
• Work closely with DevOps, QA, and product teams in Agile delivery squads
• Write secure, maintainable, and high-quality code across distributed systems
✅ Key Skills & Experience:
• Active SC Clearance (essential)
• Strong backend development experience with Node.js
• Commercial experience with React or Angular
• Strong API development and API design experience
• Experience building scalable enterprise or cloud-native applications
• Strong understanding of Agile engineering environments
