Supply Teachers – Durham Secondary Schools Teaching Personnel is recruiting supply teachers for secondary schools across Durham. Starting January 2026. Daily cover and short-term teaching needs. What you'll be doing: Stepping into different secondary classrooms for daily cover or longer placements. Managing behaviour, delivering planned lessons, keeping students engaged. You need to be confident walking into unfamiliar schools and building rapport quickly. You need: QTS (or equivalent) Strong classroom practice and behaviour management Reliability and professionalism Ability to adapt fast to different school environments What you get: £130 to £150 daily rate for general cover Paid to scale for specialist roles Flexibility to choose when and where you work Access to various secondary schools across Durham Potential for ongoing bookings if you get on in our schools Contract: Supply (daily cover and short term) Start: January 2026 Location: Durham secondary schools If you want flexible supply work in Durham secondaries for the New Year, send your CV or call to secure January bookings.
