Position details Role: Year 3 Teacher — Barking Start date: January 2026 Contract: Permanent, Full-Time About the role The Year 3 Teacher will plan daily lessons that secure key skills in reading, writing and maths, deliver guided reading and targeted maths support, and use assessment evidence to adapt teaching. The Year 3 Teacher will work closely with colleagues to moderate outcomes and share effective practice across the Barking partnership. Key responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality Year 3 lessons with clear progression and differentiated tasks. Implement targeted interventions informed by assessment and monitor their impact on progress. Work collaboratively with support staff to scaffold learning and meet diverse pupil needs. Communicate progress effectively to parents and participate in reporting cycles across Barking. Contribute to wider school activities and support transition into Key Stage 2. Person specification Qualified teacher with recent KS2 experience and demonstrable Year 3 impact. Good knowledge of assessment practice, phonics progression and maths pedagogy.
