This 12-month placement is with the GE Aerospace Power Business Contract Management team in Cheltenham. The role provides exposure to business studies, legal fundamentals and contract management and offers the opportunity to work with the GE Aerospace Legal team across a busy UK Contracts Department.
Responsibilities
* Assist with drafting and negotiating contractual agreements for the sale of products and purchases from suppliers.
* Support risk reviews, contract drafting and negotiation, and protection of intellectual property.
* Contribute to corporate governance activities, board meetings, and compliance tasks.
* Assist on commercial real estate matters and engagement with the Compliance function.
* Gain experience in international trade controls, M&A transactions, and monitoring changes in applicable laws and their impact on the business.
* Collaborate with the UK Contracts Team locally and with the wider UK and global Contracts teams, including the GE Aerospace Legal team.
* Potential for business travel within the UK and possibly overseas.
Location and Team
The UK Contracts Team is based in Cheltenham and supports other Systems businesses in the UK. Cheltenham is a major GE Aerospace site with a focus on power distribution and avionics systems for the aviation industry.
Qualifications/Requirements
* Currently studying a Business or Law Related Degree (Bachelor's or integrated Master’s).
* On course to achieve a 2:1 degree or above.
* Penultimate year of study and returning to education post placement.
