SPECIALIST RESOUCE PROVISION TEACHING TA
Location: Chilmington Green Primary School
Contract: Term Time Only
Start Date: September 2026
Hours 8.45am to 3.30pm – Monday to Friday
Grade: KSA £25,413 FTE (pro rata approx. £16, 880)
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) at Chilmington Green Primary School. This is an exciting opportunity to support children with additional needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Due to the expansion of our SRP provision, we are recruiting additional staff to support an increased number of pupils joining us in September.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional and complex needs
2. Assist in delivering tailored learning programmes under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
3. Support pupils’ social, emotional and communication development
4. Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
5. Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists and external professionals
6. Contribute to observations and record-keeping to track pupil progress
About You
We are looking for someone who:
7. Has experience working with children in a primary school setting (experience in SEN/SRP desirable)
8. Is calm, patient and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
9. Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills
10. Is committed to inclusion and enabling every child to achieve their potential
11. Holds (or is willing to work towards) relevant TA qualifications
