Excellent opportunity opens for a FX Trader to join a growing International Bank to work on FX spot and derivatives trading within a dynamic and fast-paced trading environment. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of trading book positions, contribute to eFX development, and play a key role in strengthening client relationships while driving trading performance and strategy.
Main Responsibilities
* Execute and quote FX spot and derivative transactions within defined mandates
* Manage and, when required, take ownership of the full Trading Book positions
* Contribute to the implementation of desk strategy and broader business plans
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal sales teams to drive revenue and client engagement
* Develop and maintain relationships with external market counterparties
* Provide market insights, analysis, and commentary to support client activity and decision-making
* Ensure robust adherence to trading desk procedures and continuously improve processes
* Identify, assess, and manage risks across market, credit, liquidity, operational, and compliance areas
* Ensure full alignment with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices
* Monitor and escalate material risk events, implementing corrective actions where necessary
* Collaborate with data and platform providers to support trading efficiency and eFX performance
Key Requirements
* Strong knowledge of FX products and Treasury instruments, particularly derivatives
* Proven ability to communicate market views clearly and engage with clients effectively
* Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
* Solid understanding of financial markets and trading environments
* Ability to work collaboratively within a small, high-performing team
* Strong focus on risk management and compliance best practices
* Adaptability and willingness to learn new systems and processes
* 5+ years’ experience trading FX products
* Degree-level education (or equivalent)
* Experience contributing to business strategy and growth initiatives
* Knowledge of additional financial markets (e.g. Asian/Chinese markets)
* Demonstrates drive, commercial awareness, and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
