Role Title: Material Handler
Location: Huddersfield
Pay Rate: £14.07 per hour
Working Hours: 40 hours per week - Shift worker
Contract Length: 6 Months
Role Purpose
The Day Support Material Handler provides essential support to this team by:
1. Assisting chemical operations across the plant, including material handling, product packing, tanker loading, and container loading using a Forklift Truck.
2. Supporting maintenance operations, including cleaning activities during outages.
The role requires working safely, efficiently, and flexibly across various responsibilities on the plant.
Accountabilities
3. Perform activities such as:
4. Final product tanker operations
5. Final product drumming
6. Waste management (support re-works, run-to-drains, routine/non-routine waste)
7. Housekeeping and asset care duties
8. HQ charging activities
9. Delivery loading/offloading
10. Outage support (cleaning vessels/equipment)
11. Work largely unsupervised while collaborating with the wider R5 team.
12. Provide clear handovers for Area Support CPTs.
13. Co-operate with shift manufacturing teams through daily check-ins.
14. Raise work-related issues early and discuss solutions professionally with the line manager.

15. Achieve and maintain competencies for all activities related to raw materials, waste, final products, and ancillary units (training provided).
16. Maintain accurate records for Aquinas/CBT packages and corporate online training.

19. Handle multiple issues concurrently under pressure with effective prioritization.
20. Adapt readily to change and show initiative in driving results.

23. Must hold a current Forklift Truck (FLT) license.
