About The Role

Contract: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full Time, term-time only
Salary: Ark Support Scale Grade 6, points 8-19 (£25,992 - £31,067) per annum, pro-rata £24,840 – £29,690 per annum. *pending new increased pay scales*

Responsibilities
* Support students’ learning by focusing on behaviour, attendance and promoting personal excellence as part of the secondary pastoral team.
* Work closely with staff, parents and external agencies to develop positive attitudes and approaches to learning.
* Be the first point of contact for parents with queries about support for their child.
* Contribute to the overall management of support and care for learners of the school.
The Successful Candidate Will
* Be self-motivated, exceptionally well organised and a good team worker with the ability to work effectively with students and their parents/carers; excellent communication and IT skills are essential.
* Be committed to young people and their development, with an understanding of the issues young people face.
