Air Freight Coordinator
Location: Gatwick
Salary: Up to 41,000
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm
Our client, a well-established multi-site freight forwarder with UK and international operations, is looking for an experienced Air Import/Export Coordinator to join their team in Heathrow. This is a key role managing end-to-end air freight operations, ensuring timely and compliant movement of goods worldwide.
What You'll Do
* Manage and coordinate air freight import and export shipments
* Liaise with overseas agents, carriers, and clients
* Arrange and track shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations
* Prepare and check shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, customs entries)
* Monitor shipments and address any delays or issues
* Coordinate with internal warehouse and transport teams
* Deliver excellent customer service and timely updates
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth operational flow
What We're Looking For
* Minimum 2-3 years' experience with a UK-based freight forwarder
* Strong knowledge of air import/export procedures and documentation
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Well-organized with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
* Proficiency in freight forwarding systems and MS Office
* Ability to manage full operational cycle (start to finish)
* Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
