School Partnerships Manager
Location: Bristol
Salary: £32,000-35,000 FTE depending on experience (£25,600-28,000 actual salary for 0.8 of full time)
Hours: 28 hours per week
Contract: Part time - 0.8, initial contract for 2 years. Flexible, hybrid working

The organisation is an independent charity that exists to tackle inequality of opportunity for young people in the West of England region. They do this by utilising the skills and commitment of business volunteers to deliver a variety of programmes for young people aged 7-25. They work to support those who are under-served, under-estimated, disengaged and lack social collateral.
The Role
They are looking for a confident and motivated person to take the lead on all aspects of their School Partnership Management. Their school partners are central to the success of the organisation’s programmes, they connect them with the young people who benefit from their support and play a key role in shaping the delivery of their work. The successful candidate will be confident engaging with teachers, senior school leaders and education professionals, as well as building relationships with new partner schools and maintaining strong connections with existing ones.
Key Responsibilities
School Relationship management
* Build and maintain strong relationships with school coordinators/ teachers
* Carry out visits and meetings with schools as required
* Promote the organisation’s programmes to new/existing schools (create marketing materials)
* Proactively seek opportunities to interact with the school community and attend relevant events to meet school coordinators/ career advisors/
* Negotiate and manage service level agreements with schools
* Work with the CEO to develop new ‘offers’ for school engagement
Programme delivery & Coordination
* Organise and attend orientation visits for volunteers & schools
* Plan and deliver training for volunteers, tailored to specific programmes
* Collaborate with BPM to ensure smooth delivery of programmes
* Attend and support school programmes as needed
* Support BPM to plan in school sessions with business coordinators
* Produce impact reports for school & business partners
* Support the delivery of employability workshops for 16–24-year-olds who are NEET, working closely with the Project Manager who will coordinate and manage logistics.
Volunteer management (split between BPM and SPM)
* Deliver safeguarding and role-specific training to volunteers alongside BPM
* Work with BPM to arrange and process enhanced DBS checks for all volunteers
* Support their volunteer pool with regard to their activity and programme delivery
* Maintain volunteer database and ensure smooth communication between all parties
* Work with BPM to recruit business volunteers and attend events to promote school programmes to business partners as needed (lunch & learns/ volunteer fairs)
Impact & Evaluation
* Collect and analyse evaluation data from schools and volunteers
* Produce tailored impact reports for schools and contribute to business reporting
* Feedback insights to the team to support programme development and strategic planning
Programme development
* Stay informed on issues/developments in the education sector relevant to the organisation’s mission
* Support the development of new programmes or adaptations based on business/school feedback
* Create annual schools project plan to guide engagement and delivery
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:

Desirable:
* Experience of relationship management.
* Understanding trends within the education sector (Primary & Secondary)
* Interest in and understanding of education inequality in the UK
* Experience of delivering content to groups of children or young people
* Experience working with external partners or community organisations to support youth employability initiatives
