Autism Pathways - Hawarden Location: Hawarden, North Wales Salary: £13.71 per hour Hours: Full Time Start Date: Early January TBC Please note: This role is not eligible for sponsorship About Autism Pathways Autism Pathways is a specialist provider of high-quality accommodation and support for adults with autism and complex needs. We are proud to be launching a brand-new, purpose-built residential service in Hawarden. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team on a flexible basis and contribute to a truly person-centred environment. The Service: A purpose-built residential service designed to meet the complex needs of adults with autism and associated conditions. The service includes: All accommodation consists of large, modern, self-contained individual apartments which include lounge/dining room, Kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. High-quality, person centred care and support, developing bespoke pathways for all. Non-restrictive assistive technology supporting safe care and promoting independence. SMART homes which are robust, safe, energy-efficient, technologically advanced and adaptable to meet each person’s needs. The Role: What You’ll Be Doing As a Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of someone’s daily life. You’ll work closely with individuals to help them live safely, confidently, and independently—whether that’s supporting them with personal care, helping them prepare meals, or joining them in community-based activities. Your role will be varied, meaningful, and deeply rewarding. You’ll be part of a team that provides: Daily living support – assisting with routines such as cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene Emotional and behavioural support – helping individuals manage complex behaviours with patience and understanding Community engagement – supporting individuals to access activities, appointments, and social opportunities Communication and advocacy – helping individuals express their needs and preferences Monitoring and documentation – keeping accurate records and contributing to care plans Safety and wellbeing – ensuring the environment is safe and supportive, using assistive technology and SMART home features You’ll be working in a highly structured setting with 1:1, 2:1 or 3:1 support ratios, tailored activity programmes, and purpose-built apartments designed for both safety and independence. What We’re Looking For Empathetic and patient – able to build trust and offer consistent, compassionate support Resilient and calm under pressure – confident in managing behaviours that may be challenging Team players – collaborative, communicative, and supportive of colleagues Flexible and reliable – willing to work a range of shifts including weekends Committed to learning – open to training and development, including working towards a Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care Experience in autism, learning disabilities, or complex behavioural needs is desirable but not essential.
