Job Overview:
You will help to manage the inventory within the stores department, identifying full quality control compliance on all products to obtain zero defects. You will ensure all goods are booked in on the ERP system promptly and accurately, maintaining accurate stock figures and putting away items in the correct locations to minimize the number of product defects from stock in accordance with internal procedures. You will be responsible for managing stock to ensure all items are accounted for and stock accuracy, picking for all production areas, and dispatching items required in accordance with the requirements. You will have accountability for the quality and accuracy of product availability to service our customers.
Responsibilities:
* Check and book in all the goods received against supplier’s delivery notes, placing goods in the appropriate location (e.g., fixed location) daily.
* Package goods for put away to the correct standard daily.
* Enter the items received on the computer system against the PO/MO daily.
* Process customer returns to standard and within the SLA if required daily.
* Notify Purchasing of short deliveries immediately daily.
* Report any quality issues through the quality control system daily.
* Carry out stock takes based on the planned route daily.
* Enter the new stock figures onto the system daily.
* Investigate any discrepancies daily.
* Escalate any discrepancies outside the expected norm daily.
* Review processes to improve stock control periodically.
* Other ad-hoc warehouse duties as required.
Education/Work Experience Requirements:
* Warehouse & stock management experience.
* Forklift license (useful, but not essential).
* Good knowledge of MS Office.
* Good knowledge of WMS systems would be useful.
