Healthcare Assistant

We are recruiting HCAs to workat Cottage Ward

We will offer you a fullinduction and training support package tailored to the needs of the rightcandidates.

There are full and part time posts available.

This post requires working rotationalshifts.

Main duties of the job

Join our team, we pride ourselves in providingoutstanding care to patients across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. We willprovide you with resources to develop and progress a long-term career as wellas flexibility, continual professional development as well as a wide range ofwellbeing and support.

As a Healthcare Support Worker you will beresponsible for providing care to people admitted to our ward forrehabilitation. We work closely as a multi-disciplinary team. Our focus ispromoting the comfort and wellbeing of patients, enabling them to live asindependently as possible. Pershore is a small but friendly team to work with.As a team we encourage ongoing learning and development through reflection andclinical supervision which we try and embed in our daily practice.

Our support workers are required to supportthe nurses in the running of the ward, working alongside all members of the MDTas well as patients, their families and carers to provided 24/7 rehabilitationto enable the highest level of independence and quality of life.

Successfulapplicants will be expected to work a variety of shifts over a 7-day periodincluding days and nights and weekends.

Person Specification


Experience

* Experience of working in a care environment


Skills & Abilities

* Ability to provide limited delegated clinical duties to patients e.g. patient observations.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* Ability to challenge poor behaviour
* A positive attitude and able to act on feedback


Qualifications

* Vocational qualification level 3 or equivalent / level 2 qualification in care and willing to undertake relevant level 3 qualification upon appointment.
* Care Certificate or expected to gain within 12 weeks of commencing in Trust.
* Willing and able to undertake Safety Intervention training
* I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
