Join an industry leading engineering company in Ballymena as an Electrical Design Manager and take a lead role in delivering high-quality electrical building services solutions across a range of complex projects. 1. Circa £75,000 per annum + bonus

What you'll be doing in this role:
7. Design HV, MV and LV electrical distribution systems, lighting and controls, fire detection, security, access control and specialist systems (PLC/SCADA).
8. Ensure designs are compliant, buildable and value engineered to meet project requirements.
9. Manage consultant MEP design teams, allocating BG6/DRM responsibilities, monitoring progress and providing technical guidance.
10. Review drawings, specifications, BWIC details, PMIs and technical submittals.
11. Manage elements of the design budget and support resource allocation across design workstreams.
12. Collaborate with bid and estimating teams to provide early stage technical input, calculations and design strategies.
13. Undertake site visits to review existing conditions and identify engineering challenges.
14. Provide technical support across FM, Design & Build and traditional project teams.
What you'll need for this role:
15. Strong understanding of electrical engineering and building services design principles
16. Ability to produce technical design inputs for tenders, procurement and early stage design
17. Thorough understanding of the RIBA/BSRIA stages of work
18. Ability to review drawings, models and specifications for accuracy and buildability
19. Solid commercial and programme awareness
20. Ability to work flexibly across multiple simultaneous projects
