Job Description
Role purpose
1. Achieve sales and market share targets with key accounts within the assigned area, in close cooperation with the Key Account Lead.
2. Regularly collect and report market data and insights (via SFDC when implemented).
3. Coordinate and manage demo trials in collaboration with CPD.
4. Provide technical support and training to key customers and influencers.
5. Hold critical internal and external crop expertise across a range of agronomic and market conditions.
6. Work closely with the marketing team to implement campaigns, monitor effectiveness, and adjust as required.
7. Act as key contact/interface for all Syngenta businesses to customers.
Accountabilities
1. Create demand with assigned key accounts for Syngenta products according to relevant marketing campaigns and in line with set sales targets.
2. Organize relevant technical trainings, workshops, seminars, webinars for growers, retailers, distributors.
3. When implemented, use SFDC as a core tool supporting sales processes in Syngenta, including regularly capturing sales activities, grower, and retailer opportunities.
4. Prepare account plans for strategic key accounts.
5. Contribute to distributor sales budgeting, forecasting processes, and payment collection.
6. Participate in prospection and creation of new channel partners.
7. Build solid and professional relationships based on expertise and trust with key customers, influencers, and local authorities.
8. Set up and follow up on demo trials to deepen understanding of Syngenta products and maximize product launch impacts.
9. Collaborate with Key Account Lead on tactical business plans for key accounts, including sustainable offerings, sales growth targets, and strategic alignment.
10. Collect relevant customer and competitive information and communicate it internally as needed.
11. Work closely with customer service to handle and resolve customer complaints and prevent future issues.
12. Act in full compliance with company policies, procedures, and code of conduct.
13. Participate actively in digital content creation, including posts, themes, texts, and testimonials.
Qualifications
Critical knowledge
* Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy.
* Deep knowledge of the agri-business market.
* Technical and product knowledge.
Critical Experience
* 3–5 years of commercial experience.
* Understanding of the competitive environment.
* Ability to understand customer needs, challenges, and opportunities, and to bring effective solutions.
* In-depth technical knowledge of crop protection products from both Syngenta and competitors.
* Ability to prioritize and focus on key opportunities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* English proficiency.
