Job Title: Multi-Trade Operative

Reports To: Trade Supervisor
Contract: Full Time / Permanent
Role Purpose
To deliver a high-quality, compliant, and customer-focused repairs service across residential homes and communal areas. You'll carry out a range of multi-skilled trade tasks - including plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs - ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks (carpentry, plumbing, masonry, etc.) in homes and communal spaces.
Ensure all work meets professional standards and complies with building regulations and health & safety requirements.
Deliver a 'first-time fix' wherever possible and provide excellent customer service.
Use mobile devices to record job updates, timesheets, and materials used.
Maintain van stock and procure materials through approved suppliers.
Keep your vehicle and tools in good condition.
Support other trades when needed and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Take part in the out-of-hours call-out rota when required.
Skills & Experience
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a core trade (carpentry, plumbing, or masonry), with proven multi-trade experience.
Good understanding of general building repairs and maintenance.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Full UK driving licence (clean).
Confident using mobile technology to manage work tasks.
Knowledge of health & safety, including risk assessments and PPE use.
