Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our primary school team. The successful candidate will support students with diverse learning needs within the classroom, helping them access the curriculum and participate in activities. This role provides an opportunity to positively impact students' educational experiences and development.
* Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs.
* Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies.
* Support students in accessing the curriculum, participating in activities, and completing tasks.
* Foster an inclusive learning environment that promotes student growth.
* Collaborate with teachers to monitor progress and adapt support strategies.
* Encourage independence and confidence in students.
* Maintain records of student progress and communicate feedback to teachers.
Previous experience with children, especially those with special educational needs, is desirable but not essential. Strong communication, patience, empathy, and a collaborative attitude are important. Flexibility and a willingness to learn are also valued.
