Role Summary
The post holder will provide direct and indirect patient care independently, with supervisory support available within the clinical area. They will assess patients and implement programmes of care delegated by appropriate staff, ensuring practice within their sphere of competence and knowledge. The post holder will work within a range of procedures and pathways in which they have received training to be competent.
Responsibilities
* Assist with daily living activities such as eating, showering and using the toilet
* Utilise equipment to move patients when necessary
* Help tidy the patient’s room
* Take patient vital signs such as blood pressure and temperature
* Communicate with patients and reassure them
* Attend meetings with other healthcare professionals
* Assist nurses and other staff when needed
