Overview:An established manufacturing business in Bedford is looking for a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias to join their team. This role offers a mix of hands-on engineering, machinery support, and process improvement within a busy production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Follow cGMP and relevant Standard Operating Procedures at all times
* Ensure prompt repair and maintenance of all plant and machinery
* Carry out machine changes correctly and efficiently
* Advise on the most productive use of machinery
* Assist in investigating complaints and preventing recurrence
* Complete all GMP documentation, including machine logs and repair/modification records
* Support preparation of quotations with technical input
* Attend and contribute to daily scheduling meetings
* Assist with training and development of training programmes as required
Skills & Competencies:
* Extensive engineering xjlbheb experience within a production environment
* Ability to deliver practical and effective engineering solutions
* Proactive in improving line efficiency and processes
* Competent with standard PC software
* Professional approach to handling production engineering issues
