We're looking for a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Engineer to join an established engineering department responsible for maintaining high-integrity mechanical systems and ensuring maximum uptime, safety and performance across a range of mechanically operated equipment.
This is a hands-on role involving daily inspections, planned preventative maintenance and full mechanical overhauls - keeping machinery operating efficiently, safely and to manufacturer specification.
Key Responsibilities
Routine & Preventative Maintenance
* Daily/weekly/monthly inspections of mechanical assemblies, drives, brake systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors and rotating equipment
* Identifying wear, corrosion, misalignment and potential failure points
* Validating mechanical safety systems and shutdown mechanisms
* Testing & calibrating sensors, actuators and control-linked systems
* Ensuring assets remain safe, compliant and operational at all times
Major Overhauls & Planned Engineering Work
1. Strip-downs, rebuilds and deep mechanical inspection
2. Replacing or refurbishing wheels, axles, bearings, suspension systems and mechanical interfaces
