We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a growing construction team delivering high-quality residential and commercial developments across the East Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Site Engineer looking to play a key role in the successful delivery of exciting projects while developing their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
The Role
- Reading, interpreting and communicating construction drawings to support site operations, including layouts, dimensions and material requirements.
- Carrying out accurate setting out and surveying activities, ensuring precise lines, levels and reference points are established and maintained.
- Monitoring project programmes and proactively supporting site progress to ensure key milestones and deadlines are achieved.
- Coordinating subcontractors, materials and site activities to facilitate the smooth delivery of construction works.
- Maintaining accurate site documentation, including inspection and test plans (ITPs), as-built records and environmental compliance documentation.
- Supporting the implementation and adherence to all Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Building strong working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and colleagues while supporting and mentoring less experienced team members.
- Keeping up to date with industry developments, best practices and technical guidance, sharing knowledge with the wider team where appropriate.
- Ensuring compliance with all company policies, procedures and integrated management systems.
- Undertaking any other duties relevant to the position of Site Engineer as required.
What We're Looking For
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- A minimum of five years' experience working as a Site Engineer, ideally within residential construction projects, with exposure to commercial developments being advantageous.
- Strong numerical, technical and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- A full UK driving licence and relevant site certification/cards.
- The ability to work to tight deadlines and positively influence project delivery.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to use initiative and take ownership of projects from inception through to completion.
