Area Sales Manager Role Purpose
To convert inbound and outbound sales leads into signed construction contracts by managing the full client journey - from initial enquiry through to handover to the delivery team.
This is a client-facing, commercially focused role suited to someone confident in sales, relationship-building, and guiding clients through the early stages of residential construction projects.
Key Responsibilities of the Area Sales Manager
Lead Management
1. Respond promptly to inbound enquiries generated via marketing channels (Google Ads, website, referrals).
2. Qualify leads efficiently and professionally to assess project viability.
3. Carry out outbound B2B cold calling where required (developers, landlords, commercial clients).
Client Meetings & Engagement
4. Meet clients at their property or at the office to discuss project requirements.
5. Understand client objectives, budgets, and timelines.
6. Attend site visits to assess scope and support accurate pricing.
Quoting & Sales Process
7. Prepare and present project quotations (full training provided).
8. Clearly explain scope of works, programmes, and payment structures.
9. Follow up quotations and manage negotiations where appropriate.
10. Close sales and secure signed contracts.
Contracts & Project Handover
11. Create and agree payment plans once projects are confirmed.
12. Issue contracts and ensure all documentation is completed accurately.
13. Secure initial deposits in line with company policy.
14. Allocate projects to the appropriate contractor or delivery team.
15. Ensure a smooth and professional handover to the operations team.
Working Style & Administration
16. Office-based for administration, quoting, and follow-ups.
17. Remote and site-based work when meeting clients.
18. Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records for all leads and projects.
