About the role
We are recruiting a Data Analyst to join our Operations Support team. You will provide critical management information to our Chief Operating Officer, Regional Directors, and Department Heads. The role involves developing, analyzing, and delivering operational and financial management information to support the Trust’s strategic goals, priorities, and statutory obligations.
You will act as a key link with senior management, supporting the development, analysis, and measurement of strategies.
A core responsibility is developing and supporting Business Performance and analysis reporting across operational maintenance programs, focusing on efficiencies, health & safety, finance, equipment, and compliance.
Location
This role is based on remote working, with occasional attendance at our main hubs for team collaboration. You should be able to reasonably commute to hubs in Leeds, Ellesmere Port, Burnley, Newark, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, or Gloucester.

Knowledge, Skills/Qualifications & Experience
Key accountabilities:
* Contribute to the development, implementation, and measurement of Trust priorities; interrogate systems and develop reports on outcomes and trends, identifying opportunities for improvement.
* Interpret and present reports clearly using various media.
* Provide timely, accurate, and insightful reports—including business analysis, monthly management reports, and ad-hoc reports—to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
* Maintain and improve current measures; automate reporting where possible.
* Develop new measures and KPIs to provide robust management information, emphasizing automation.
* Collaborate with teams across the Trust to identify data analysis and reporting needs for informed decision-making.
* Interrogate data, identify trends, communicate findings, and support improvement initiatives.
* Ensure data quality and integrity, investigating anomalies as needed.
* Perform performance analysis and generate reports to support management in improving productivity and compliance against KPIs.
Technical skills:
* Experience in unfamiliar industries, developing industry understanding for high-quality data management and analysis.
* Ability to analyze and present data on cost control, productivity, and targets.
* Proficiency in extracting data from external sources for automated reporting.
* Experience with PowerBI or similar visualization tools.
* Ability to create and deliver data-related communication pieces.
* Experience in continuous improvement environments or familiarity with lean principles is desirable.
General skills:
* IT skills across platforms, with the ability to interpret data for reporting.
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
