Events Planner – Hampton Court Palace (Maternity Cover – approx. 16 months)

Salary: £37,498 per annum
Hours: Full time (36 hours per week, including evenings and weekends as required)
About the Role
Our client is an independent charity caring for six of the most wonderful palaces in the world. They seek a dedicated Events Planner to maximise the commercial potential of Hampton Court Palace. The role blends communication and organisation, guiding internal and external clients and suppliers through every aspect of the event planning process, from sales to operational execution.
Responsibilities
* Develop and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accurate information and confidence.
* Lead the event planning process, including venue sales, scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.
* Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to deliver smooth events, including weddings, corporate parties, and charity galas.
* Provide detailed financial reports and maintain accurate event records.
* Adapt to flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends, as event schedules dictate.
Qualifications
* Proven experience selling venues and running events at an operational level.
* Strong organisational, financial and communication skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database management.
* Excellent interpersonal and team‑working abilities.
* Self‑starter with flexibility, adaptability and ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
* Knowledge or interest in British history is an advantage.
