Role Overview
Join to apply for the MacMillan Clinical Nurse Specialist role at NHS Highland. This position is part of the Lochaber Cancer and Palliative Care Team.
Responsibilities
 * Provide SACT treatment locally 1 day a week and support acute and community patients.
 * Apply high levels of clinical decision‑making skills, monitoring and improving standards of cancer/palliative care through supervised practice, clinical audit, and best‑practice evidence/research implementation.
 * Facilitate learning and support professional colleagues to provide informed palliative care.
 * Contribute to developing a sustainable SACT service and community‑based palliative care service and support the local hospital.
Qualifications
 * Previous community nursing experience.
 * Experience in the administration of SACT treatment.
 * High levels of clinical decision‑making skills and ability to monitor and improve standards of care.
 * Desirable: Non‑medical prescribing skills. A development post would be considered.
