As a Copart Vehicle Image Damage Assessor, you will be responsible for preparing engineer’s reports for insurance companies.
You will review documents related to physical damage, vehicle details, images, and other vital information, making necessary amendments.
You will conduct market research to determine the vehicle's market value, considering factors like mileage, previous damage, HPI data, and more. You will assign salvage categories following the ABI Code of Practice and company guidelines.
Adherence to Service Level Agreements and company processes is required. Training on internal report-writing systems will be provided.
This is a remote role; occasional attendance at our Head Office or Operation Centre may be needed.
What we need from you:
* Membership or willingness to enroll in professional bodies such as MIMI, IAEA, or IRTE, with familiarity in insurance claims procedures.
* Ability to interpret vehicle damage and use repair estimating systems.
* Experience with motor vehicles, damage assessment, and repair methods.
* Knowledge of VDA and estimating tools like Glass’, CAP, Audatex, and HPI.
* Understanding of legal vehicle roadworthiness requirements under the Road Traffic Act.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
