Join Our Team as a Finance Compliance Analyst!
Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey with Sysco International? As part of the dynamic Sysco family, we are thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Compliance Analyst to join our International Financial Reporting team on a full-time, permanent basis.
In this pivotal role, reporting to the Finance Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our financial controls, policies, and processes are not just implemented but also maintained across our operations in seven countries. You’ll collaborate with finance teams to assess processes, recommend best practices, and support the implementation of enhancements that drive efficiency and accuracy.
This is a hybrid working opportunity, requiring you to work at our Brakes office in Ashford, Kent, once a week for team collaboration. Flexibility for occasional travel is essential, so you should be within a commutable distance.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Define and manage the process for collecting and consolidating supplementary data across European and International markets to monitor alignment with Sysco’s policies.
* Lead the monthly International balance sheet review process and prepare documentation for quarterly policy and controls meetings with senior leadership.
* Review local balance sheet processes, investigate variances, and recommend improvements.
* Collaborate with the Finance Manager to enhance compliance with Sysco policies, SOX, FAMM, and DOA.
* Partner with International finance teams to ensure effective implementation of SAAS 23 minimum controls.
* Track and monitor audit recommendations and support remediation efforts.
* Guide business/technology transformation to ensure alignment with accounting policies and Sysco’s Finance Manual.
* Support local teams in documentation and improvements towards SOX readiness.
* Assist with M&A and onboarding of new businesses to Sysco’s processes.
* Contribute to ad-hoc projects as needed.
* Support the implementation of new Sustainability reporting requirements, including EU CSRD.
What We’re Looking For:
Are you ready to take your first step into the industry? We’re seeking a recently ACA/ACCA qualified individual with experience in external or internal audit and a solid understanding of financial controls. Here’s what you’ll need to succeed:
* Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting and consolidation systems.
* A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in financial information.
* Understanding of IFRS, US GAAP, and SOX is a plus.
* Exceptional planning, organization, and prioritization skills.
* A proven ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
