Are you a skilled Mitel Support Engineer with a background in supporting enterprise telephony environments? We are currently hiring for a contract opportunity with a leading UK-based IT & telecoms service provider, delivering critical support for a public sector client.
This is a remote, SC-cleared role supporting an existing Mitel telephony estate as part of a 24x7 support operation. You’ll work within a dedicated team, delivering 2nd & 3rd Line troubleshooting (DOE) and maintenance, and helping ensure uninterrupted service for a secure government organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide remote support for Mitel telephony systems, including MiVB, MiCollab, MBG, and MiCC.
* Investigate and resolve technical incidents, escalating to senior engineers or vendors as required.
* Monitor systems and proactively identify potential issues before they impact service.
* Maintain accurate documentation and service records.
* Work collaboratively as part of a shift-based team to meet 24x7 SLA requirements.
* Participate in root cause analysis and contribute to ongoing service improvement.
Requirements:
* Active Security Clearance (SC) – essential.
* Strong hands-on experience with Mitel systems (MiVB, MiCollab, MBG, MiCC).
* Confident in supporting SIP and IP-based telephony infrastructure.
* Previous experience working in a NOC or similar shift-based environment.
* Excellent troubleshooting and incident management skills.
* Comfortable working remotely and as part of a wider virtual support team.
* Mitel certifications or training transcripts (highly desirable).
Bonus Skills (Not Essential):
* Familiarity with hosted VoIP platforms (e.g. Gamma, 8x8, MS Teams).
* Understanding of LAN/WAN fundamentals (CCNA/CTP level desirable).
* Experience supporting secure or government environments.
