Role responsibilities
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play an integral role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Your responsibilities will span across managing both sales and purchase ledgers, performing detailed reconciliations of bank accounts, processing supplier payments efficiently, handling credit control duties with empathy and professionalism, and assisting with monthly reporting requirements. * Manage and reconcile sales invoices and receipts with accuracy, ensuring all transactions are recorded promptly in the sales ledger.

* Perform regular bank reconciliations to guarantee that all company accounts reflect accurate financial positions at all times.
* Process weekly payment runs for suppliers, ensuring timely payments and maintaining positive relationships with key partners.

* Familiarity with posting accruals, prepayments, and journal entries as part of month-end processes within a busy finance department.
* Experience managing credit control activities including communicating sensitively with customers regarding outstanding debts.
