A well-established fire protection contractor is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their management team. The company delivers high-quality, compliant fire safety solutions across residential and commercial sectors and has an expanding portfolio of contracts.

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum + Package

Role Overview
The Contracts Manager will oversee multiple fire protection projects from contract award to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role requires technical expertise in fire doors and fire stopping, strong leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of statutory regulations and third-party accreditation schemes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage fire protection contracts, including fire door installation and fire stopping works
2. Plan, coordinate, and monitor contract programmes to ensure timely delivery
3. Lead and manage site managers, supervisors, operatives, and subcontractors
4. Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, company procedures, and client requirements
5. Maintain compliance with third-party accreditations and support audits and inspections
6. Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
7. Monitor quality standards, ensuring works meet current regulations and specifications
8. Support commercial management, including managing variations, risks, and opportunities for improvement
9. Prepare progress reports, forecasts, and handover documentation
Candidate Requirements
10. Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within fire protection or a closely related sector
11. Fire door and fire stopping experience (essential)
12. Strong understanding of third-party accreditation schemes and regulatory compliance
13. Health & Safety qualifications such as IOSH, SMSTS, or equivalent
14. Experience in social housing is highly desirable
15. Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
16. Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously
17. Based in or willing to travel within Manchester and surrounding areas
