The College is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic individual to provide maternity cover for the full-time post of Safeguarding Officer. Our outstanding support is recognised across Leeds, for being individualised and responsive. The safeguarding Team is highly experienced, friendly and has a wealth of professional knowledge. As the college student numbers grow, we are seeking to extend the team. We are looking for a highly self-motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who will play a key role in the ongoing health and welfare of students and staff. You will have experience of working with children and/or families within a safeguarding and child protection environment. A committed team worker, you will carry a caseload and work on your own initiative. Time management skills are essential given the variety of this challenging yet rewarding role. Previous experience of working with children and families and with other agencies and recent experience of social services work in child protection is essential.
The appointment will be made on the Sixth Form Colleges’ Employers’ Association Support Staff pay spine point 18 £34,033 pro-rata.
Actual Pay: Full time, term time only + 10 days, based on 0.8811 FTE will be support pay spine point 18 £29,986 per annum.
This post is a fixed-term contract with an anticipated end date of early July 2026.
