Mechanical Estimator – Ductwork Specialist Location: Belvedere, South East London Salary: Competitive DOE Package Start Date: ASAP / Within the Month About the Company Our client is a well-established Mechanical Building Services Contractor based in Belvedere, specialising in ductwork and ventilation installations across a range of commercial, industrial, and residential projects. With a strong order book and consistent project growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their estimating team. The Role The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders and cost plans for ductwork and ventilation packages, as well as wider mechanical systems. This role requires strong technical knowledge of ductwork systems, materials, and installation methods, as well as a practical understanding of how projects are delivered on site. Key Responsibilities * Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for mechanical and ductwork packages. * Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to produce take-offs and cost breakdowns. * Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations. * Analyse project risks and provide value engineering options. * Work closely with project managers and the commercial team to ensure smooth project handover. * Assist in bid preparation, tender submissions, and client presentations. * Maintain and update cost databases, supplier lists, and estimation templates. About You * Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the building services sector. * Strong ductwork and ventilation background – essential. * Solid understanding of mechanical services, drawings, and specifications. * Proficient with estimation software and MS Excel. * Excellent attention to detail, numeracy, and communication skills. * Capable of working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Based within commutable distance of Belvedere.
