The Opportunity
1. The Policy Manager is in charge of delivering policy advice and support across the organisation and to wider industry stakeholders
Main Responsibilities :
2. Deliver policy advice and support across the organisation and to wider industry stakeholders and members
3. Deliver high-quality services for industry stakeholders, including the Department of Transport
4. Lead policy development on a range of issues impacting the travel system to deliver better outcomes for customers (passengers and freight) and external funders
5. Develop ideas aligned to our business priorities that are effective at stimulating change in industry
Key skills and experience:
6. Strong at cultivating and maintain strong relationship skills with external contacts
7. Effective written and verbal communication
8. Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
9. Ability to structure, substantiate, draft and then communicate compelling policy positions and briefing
10. Knowledge of how EU and UK Government works
11. Desirable
12. Prior experience/understanding of transport policy
