Job Summary: As a Timesheet and Payroll Administrator at Joseph Gallagher Limited, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll and management of employee timesheets. You will be responsible for maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data. This position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information. We use Easybuild but due to move to COINS so previous experience is very useful.
Key Responsibilities:
* Timesheet Management: Collect, verify, and process employee timesheets and attendance records. Ensure that all hours worked, overtime, and absences are accurately recorded and approved in accordance with company policies.
* Payroll Processing: Prepare and process the monthly/weekly payroll for all employees, including calculating pay, deductions, and contributions. Ensure compliance with tax laws and employment regulations.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data, including personal details, pay rates, and changes in job positions or salaries.
* Reporting: Generate reports for management regarding payroll expenses, employee hours worked, overtime, and absences. Assist in financial audits related to payroll and timesheets.
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to payroll and employment. Stay updated on new tax laws and regulations affecting payroll.
* Employee Queries: Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries regarding timesheets and payroll. Provide timely and accurate information to employees and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
* System Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and updates of payroll systems to ensure efficient processing of data. Suggest improvements to payroll processing procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
* Qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Payroll, or a related field would be ideal.
* Proven experience in payroll processing and timesheet management, preferably within a similar industry.
* Strong knowledge of payroll software, Excel, and other financial systems.
* Familiarity with labour laws, tax regulations, and employment standards related to payroll.
* Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
